I’ve been learning a lot about online life and the ins and outs of online communication lately, and I have found an interesting webcast called EdTechTalk.com. They broadcast almost daily and have an radio interview/conversation format using a skype conference and a text chat room that allows a background conversation.
The hosts of EdTechTalk are sponsoring an all online conference this Sunday at 12pm EST. The conference goal: To create a baseline for a new media curriculum. For more detail go to: http://www.edtechtalk.com/wiki/index.php/TBDNMCE and http://www.edtechtalk.com/wiki/index.php/Conference_Agenda
I think that this type of collaborative work that blends some of what Fred has proposed with his InfoWikis and the school change that Arvind so appropriately coined ‘Learning Migration‘ is excting. This is the edge of what is happening right now, and we, as Independent School educators, have a responsibility to step up to the plate and evaluate this brave new world.
I hope to see some of you at this conference on Sunday — I’ll be checking during my son’s nap time:->
